You can snorkel, scuba dive, fish and explore the wonders of the Belize mainland with our friendly and knowledgeable guides. Hobie Cat Wave, kayaks and stand up paddle boards are always complimentary. We invite you to enjoy the simplicity of island life surrounded by nature’s beauty.
What is there to do on Coco Plum Island?
Snorkeling
Coco Plum Cay provides a spectacular location from which to access thrilling snorkeling opportunities. Our included group snorkeling trips will take you to nearby patch reefs, mangrove habitats in the Southern Barrier Reef.
Scuba Diving
The longest unbroken barrier reef (the Belize Barrier Reef) in the world is located only minutes away and offers some of the world's finest diving. The nearby coral atolls of Glovers contain outstanding and untouched dive areas. You do not want to miss Shark's Cave, it is an awesome sight! More info on dive sites can be found here.
Swim
Coco Plum Island offers many spots that are great for swimming in the cool Caribbean waters. Swim right from the docks or in our newly added pool!
Fishing
You can fly-fish for Bonefish and Permit on the nearby flats. You can cast or troll for Barracuda, Mackerel, Wahoo, Tarpon and Grouper in the cuts along the reef. Your fishing possibilities here are endless and good fishing is available year-round. You can also choose to add guided fishing tours to your package.
Birding at nearby Man-O-War Caye
Located just 1/2 mile from Coco Plum Caye, Man-O-War Caye is a designated bird sanctuary. It is home to a variety of indigenous bird species, including Pelicans, Brown Booby birds, and Magnificent Frigate birds that soar in great numbers above the island.
Kayaking, Stand up Paddle Boarding, Hobie Cat Sailing
The calm, clear waters surrounding the island are ideal for all levels of water sports enthusiasts. Paddle or sail around the island or, to nearby Man-O-War Caye. Do a little island hopping, as there are several islands within a short distance from the Caye. For more experienced athletes, visit the Barrier Reef, which is about four miles away. Watch for playful dolphins and manatees which are often sighted in our local waters. Water sports equipment is complimentary for guests of Coco Plum Island Resort. We also offer a Hobie Cat instructional course for an additional fee.

If you choose a package without tours, no worries, you can select a la carte tours once at Coco Plum and pay for them when check out.
