Belize Scuba Diving Certification

At Coco Plum Island Resort we offer the following PADI dive courses listed below. Please note that the prices include equipment rental and bear in mind that we do not have a dive instructor on site and that we need at least two weeks advance notice to arrange courses:

Discover Scuba 

US$175 for one person and US$150 per person for two or more persons
Learn the basics - enter the fascinating underwater world of radiantly colorful fish and majestic plant life! Learn about basic level dive physics and physiology, diving equipment, and perform shallow water exercises. This course includes a real dive on the reef with an instructor. 

Open Water Certification 

US$550 per person 
Becoming an Open Water Diver enables you to dive anywhere in the world. You will learn about the physics and physiology of diving, as well as the equipment used for diving. Your first dive experience will be in shallow water, to familiarize yourself with the necessary skills, followed by four boat dives on our beautiful Belizean reef system. The course takes at least 4 days. 

Open Water Referral

US$375 per person
If you have successfully completed all your confined water modules and written tests with a different instructor and need your open water dives, the Open Water Referral Course is for you! This course will allow you to complete your four open water dives in a tropical ocean environment with a certified instructor and receive your Open Water Certification.
Important: Please bring your course documentation as well as your medical release form with you to Coco Plum!

Advanced Open Water Certification 

US$475 per person 
This is an exciting, two-day course giving the already certified diver an introduction to 5 specialty types of diving. Students will advance their skills under the supervision of an instructor, as well as receive more technical diving knowledge in areas of deep diving and underwater navigation. This course can be completed in 2 days and includes 5 dives.
